At least 6 dead in suicide attack at Afghan mosque


June 15 (UPI) — Six folks have been killed and a number of other others have been injured in Afghanistan on Thursday in an explosion at a Kabul mosque, authorities mentioned.

The explosion occurred on the Shiite Al-Zahra mosque within the Afghan capital Thursday night, amid preparations for Lailatul-Qadr, a “night time of energy” remark held on the 19th, 21st and 23rd days of Ramadan.

Witnesses reported listening to gunfire after the explosion on Kabul’s west flank, which safety officers mentioned gave the impression to be a suicide assault. Not less than ten folks have been reported injured within the blast.

Authorities described the bombing as a terrorist assault, BBC Information reported.

Dozens have been killed a yr in the past at one other mosque assault in Kabul in an identical suicide bombing.
